The Papua New Guinea (PNGARS) French Polynesia (CORA) and Burma (BARTS) are believed to have ceased to exist.

The International Amateur Radio Union reports it has not been able to contact these national radio societies for at least five years and there's no evidence of their continued existence.

Under its rules the IARU it has called for evidence to be submitted that these radio societies are in existence by no later than 13 September 2010.

Meantime in other changes, the Radio Club of Paraquay has been reinstated to full IARU membership status, the Union des Radioamateurs du Congo (URAC) is a newly elected is a newly elected member, and a membership application is being considered from the Montenegrin Amateur Radio Pool (MARP) formed in October 2008.
